Susan Josephs is a writer with a background as a dancer, theater artist and veteran journalist.

Raised in San Diego and a graduate of UCLA, she spent eight years covering dance locally and internationally for the Los Angeles Times and her arts journalism and other articles have appeared in over a dozen publications including Salon, LA Weekly and the Chicago Tribune. Susan also served as director of development for Dance Resource Center of Greater Los Angeles from 2016-18 where she honed her chops as a grant writer and helped the organization secure a variety of federal, state and local funding. She is also an experienced dramaturge who has collaborated with choreographers and performance artists and has over 20 years of experience as a freelance editor. A playwright, Susan has written three produced plays and currently works part-time as a domestic violence counselor and advocate.
